Grand Theft Auto IV till PC

Utvecklarna bakom den mycket populära spelserien GTA har goda nyheter till alla datorentusiaster. Grand Theft Auto IV kommer att släppas till PC.

Ända sedan GTA San Andreas lanserades har många trogna datorspelare väntat på ett nytt spel i den våldsamma men populära serien. När ryktena tog fart om GTA IV övergick hoppet till en viss besvikelse, eftersom spelet endast lanserades till spelkonsolerna Playstation 3 och Xbox 360. Fler än en datorspelare köpte spelkonsol endast för att kunna spela nya GTA.

Nu har utvecklarna bakom Grand Theft Auto tillkännagivit att de kommer att släppa en PC-version trots allt. Den 21 november lanseras GTA IV i Europa. Sam Hauser på Rockstar Games kommenterar nyheten:

We are very excited to be releasing the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV. The whole team is dedicated to bringing an amazing gaming experience to the PC. The game looks and plays beautifully on PC and we can’t wait for people to play it.

GTA IV till PC kommer att ha samma innehåll som konsolvarianterna, men har också förbättrat nätverksstöd som är mer lämpat för persondatorer. Det finns ännu ingen information om systemkrav, men Rockstar lovar att dessa kommer att publiceras inom kort.

Den fjärde generationen av Grand Theft Auto handlar om Niko Bellic, en krigsveteran från Serbien som flyr till Amerika för att starta ett nytt liv. Spelet utspelas i en realistisk stadsmiljö som baseras på New York. Till sin hjälp har Bellic mängder av fordon och en hel arsenal med vapen som kan användas till gott och ont.

De flesta recensioner ger GTA IV högsta betyg. Den stora spelsajten IGN kallar spelet för ”revolutionerande”, och är den enda titeln som fått betyget 10 av 10 sedan 90-talets slut.

A ”10″ is not a score we give out very often. In fact, the last time we gave a 10 to a console game was Soul Calibur in 1999. A 10 doesn’t mean a game is perfect — it means a game is pushing boundaries, expanding a genre, and doing many things to a level so far above and beyond its competitors that they overshadows any flaws.
